rising from a short foot to an everted rim. The pear shaped body is divided by double bowstring bands, engraved to the central section the scene of an scholar in a garden, and to the neck Qitaoshi keyu shigulei fang nantianlaoren bifa, shizai guihai qiuzhong zhi yue.(Qitao engraved in the style of Yun Nantian at 1923).

Qitao was the pseudonym of Wu Hanwen (1871-1941), who was known to have established the renowned 'Wu Desheng Pottery Studio' during the Republic period.
