Two Chinese Rank Badges on silk with embroidered silver and gilt wrapped threads, also known as Mandarin Squares. Badges with birds were worn by late Qing officials. Different birds & animals indicative of the historical significance of China's dynasties. Two separate squares measure approximately 12" x 11.5" each. One has center seam for front of jacket.
