Description
The #BA3 Chair Circa 1946 was Ernest Race's first design for the Race Furniture Co. Wood was scarce at this time and the British Government encouraged manufacturers to use new materials that were more available like aluminum which was plentiful due to the decommissioning of weapons and aircraft.
This chair is documented in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York and the V&A Museum, London.
Seat and back in new period style upholstery. Frame in aluminum with black finish.
