Born in western New York State, Kathleen Gefell moved to New York City in the 1980s. She has studied with Michael Burban and Kenneth McIndoe at The Art Students’ League, with Seth Nadel in Dutchess County, NY and Dominique Medici in NYC. She is a member of the Dutchess County Community Council, Barrett Art Center in Poughkeepsie, NY, The Kent Art Association in Kent, CT. and The Art Students’ League in NYC.
