Description
DESCRIPTION: Pair of Shan lacquered wood temple guardian Manok-thi-ha. The lacquered wood sculptures of Manok-thi-ha, a double-bodied, human-headed lion, sits as a protector in a Shan Buddhist temple. It is carved of teak wood. The base coat of lacquer is black, with reddish lacquer and gilding applied over it.
