Hand Painted Scroll: Gouache and Watercolor on Paper and silk. Painting of a Japanese Woman in Traditional Dress, signed lower right. Housed in a Cedar Box with Kanji Script, and an English Presentation: "To Capt. & Mrs. Hunt, As a Token of our warmest friendship, HR Kundo, Mayor of Osaka, March 1949". Scroll includes a period note: Taiko Okamoto Born in Osaka about 80 years ago, now dead Studied Ukiyoe-School Painting, a leading artist of the old Japanese School, Japanese Belles - His Specialty. SCroll Meausres 82" x 19" overall, and image measures 52" x 14" There is some light foxing to the bottom of the image, and two dime-sized age spots on the upper left area of the image.
