A 20th century Art Deco 18ct gold compact by Cartier
1935, London, by Jacques Cartier, of circular form, set with diamond monogram 'B.S' for Beatrice Sigrist, and baguette cut diamonds push-button, both sides are inlaid with champleve enamel floral design and an engraved sunburst motif to the cover and back, the inside of the cover is set with a mirror, 9 cm diameter.
This compact is believed to have belonged to Beatrice Sigrist, Lady Ormerod of aristocratic White Russian descent, the mother of Princess Fredericka Ann Guirey.
