Description
An Egyptian turquoise glazed faience ushabti, 3rd Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty, c. 1075 - 945 BC, depicted mummiform, wearing tripartite wig with seshed head band, arms folded at chest, hands holding a pick and hoe, bag at center of back and remnants of a vertical column of hieroglyphic text down front of legs. Color well-preserved with black detailing on head band, face, tools and text. H: 3 3/4 in (9.6cm). Light deposits. Ex collection of Professor M.H. Abrams, Ithaca, NY.
