Newly Discovered & Unrecorded Military Ship Sketch by Prominent Dada Movement Artist George Grosz. The penned sketch is of a war ship with air artillery in background is signed "Grosz" in the bottom right handcorner. George Grosz (1893-1959), was a German artist known especially for his caricatural drawings and paintings of Berlin life in the 1920's. Some consider him to be the most outstanding caricaturist/ politicalsatirist of the period following WW1.He Immigrated to the US in 1933.Taught at the Art Students League of New York. This sketch was found in the Family Estate of original founder of the Dada movement, RichardHuelsenbeck. According to a family friend, Grosz would stay at the Huelsenbeck home often and would spend much time with Richard Huelsenbeck (Charles R.
