Grouping of four (4) North Carolina stoneware pottery items, attributed to Randolph County. 1st item: One-gallon salt-glazed preserving jar attributed to Chester Webster (1799-1882) having five sets of three incised lines extending from the flared neck to lower middle of body, stamped "1" within a circle at shoulder to denote capacity. 12" H. Late 19th century. 2nd item: One-gallon salt-glazed preserving jar with orange peel glaze and flaring neck, attributed to Randolph County, North Carolina, possibly Craven shop. Unmarked. 11 1/8" H. Late 19th century. 3rd item: Two-gallon salt-glazed storage jar, attributed to Randolph County, North Carolina, possibly Craven shop. Band of five incised lines around the neck, pulled applied handles, incised "2" below one handle denoting capacity. 12 5/8" H. Late 19th century. 4th item: Diminutive salt-glazed stoneware jug with alkaline drips, attributed to Randolph County, North Carolina. Unmarked. 8 3/4" H. Late 19th century.
