Description
31" x 12" Double sided Railroad sign The Senator New York Boston on both sides. It is a metal painted sign with iron frame. The Senator was inaugurated in 1929 and served as a commuter train from Washington to Boston over the Northeast Corridor. Before that the sign served The New York Bar Harbor Express which can be seen under the paint on both sides. This was a seasonal passenger train which served the resort area around Bar Harbor, Main and was a joint venture of the New York, New Haven, and Harford Railroad. First service was 1902 and last service was 1960. An excellent railroad sign with a lot of history. PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE PAYMENT AND SHIPPING TERMS FOR THIS AUCTION PRIOR TO PLACING BIDS.
