A program from the fourth game of the 1927 World Series between the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Pirates that took place on October 8, 1927, at Yankee Stadium in New York. The Yankees began the game with a 3-0 game advantage over the Pirates. By winning this game with a score of 4-3, the Yankees won the World Series. Handwritten in black ink on the cover is "October 8, 1927." Inside the program attached to the page with the Yankees scorecard is a ticket stub for the game. Also on this page in the same handwriting as the date on the cover is an inscription that reads, in part, "I saw this game with my wife & son Richard. M. O"Dowd and wife/ John T. O'Dowd." The program is accompanied by a newsprint clipping featuring images of the Yankees and Pirates.
