Sevres Style French Hand Painted Porcelain Large Box, early 20 century; the cover well painted with an 18 century scene of a Gentleman flirting with 2 Ladies on a park bench and signed "C. Rochette;" all on a claret-red ground with raised gold designs; Bronze edge to top and base with four legs; a small hinged lifting curl to top; the base with back-to-back "L" & "S" mark with "France." Light age related wear to enamels, 2 original firing cracks to inside edge with factory-painted flower-repair, hairline to top from edge, bronze mount for base loose. Width 15 1/2 inches (39.4 cm.)
