Late 17th century AD. A silver button or cuff-link element with loop to the reverse, chamfered rim, reserved image of two hearts surmounted by a crown; a type associated with the marriage of Charles II and Catherine of Braganza in 1662. Disclaimed under the Treasure Act, reference number 2010T312; accompanied by a copy of the Treasure Act receipt dated 6 May 2010, two letters from Her Majesty's Coroner, and a letter from the British Museum. Recorded with the Portable Antiquities Scheme under reference KENT-292EC2; accompanied by a copy of the PAS report. grams, 15mm (1/2").
