Additional photos taken in full sunlight-- https://flic.kr/s/aHskRhpdqD --- or -- xx -- https://www.flickr.com/photos/23676403@N07/albums/72157678247832637 ---XX ----- 19th c. or earlier Antique Chinese huanghuali wood round corner cabinet. ------ Measures 30.25" tall x 24 3/8" wide x 16" deep. ------ Description: An unusual corner cabinet with two drawers exposed and two more drawers concealed behind the cabinet doors. Baitong metal fittings. Top panel demonstrates the beautiful grain of huanghuali. Back and inner components of the cabinet still retain the original red lacquer used to preserve the unfinished surfaces. ------ Condition: Several water or oil spots on top, shrinkage to top panel with approximately 1/4" separation between top panel and front top frame. Slight separation between side cabinet panels and front side frame on right side. Shrinkage and separation between soft wood panels used on cabinet back and inner draw components. Some surface of the wood have residue from waxing over 100+ years of use. Screws were used (probably in the late 19th c. To early 20th c.) to secure hardware.Estimate $5,000 to $8,000. Start at $3,000

Condition

Appropriate wear due to age and use. Several water or oil spots on top, shrinkage to top panel with approximately 1/4" separation between top panel and front top frame. Slight separation between side cabinet panels and front side frame on right side. Shrinkage and separation between soft wood panels used on cabinet back and inner draw components. Some surface of the wood have residue from waxing over 100+ years of use. Screws were used (probably in the late 19th c. To early 20th c.) to secure hardware.
