Description
Striking Porcelain 5 3/8 inch vase decorated in 1945 by E.T. Hurley, who encircled the vase with impressionistic white peony blooms and green leaves, against a yellow ground with blue shading at the top and bottom. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, the date and shape 890 C and incised with Mr. Hurley’s monogram. Uncrazed with pinpoint burst glaze bubbles at the base. The artist’s use of color is dramatic.
