Description
Chinese Qianlong period, from 1735 to 1796, underglaze blue and copper red with Celadon glazed Porcelain vase converted to a lamp on the square rosewood base, 11" high and 4 3/4" wide in the middle widest area, 3 1/2" wide and 2 3/4" deep for the rectangle top, 12" high with wooden stand, with reclining Chimera handles on both side. One side is decorated with underglaze blue and copper red house in the lake with mountain and lake scenery inside the low relief bordered enclosed panels on white background, and the other side is also decorated with underglaze blue and copper red Deer next to Pine tree inside the panels. Underneath the reclining Chimera handles, there are some underglaze blue and copper red Chinese Poems inside the low relief white background panels
Condition
The condition is good, no chips, cracks or restorations except hole on the bottom for the lamp. Bottom shows the underglaze blue left over Qianlong mark after drilled in the center on top of the celadon glaze, the bottom rim is unglazed, but this is an Qianlong period porcelain lamp.
