Late 19th century, 55 x 60 cm, South Persia, Kerman region
The face of a knotted Afshar single bag. In the white field, two palmettes and two abstract dragon figures resembling chevrons are interspersed with rosettes and small flowers. The closure band is elaborately woven in the sumakh technique. A remnant of the striped kilim back is preserved at the bottom. – Slight signs of wear, good overall condition.
