Choice Uncirculated January 14th, 1779, Fifty Five Dollars Note "Thomas Edison" as Signer of 1779 Continental Currency
Continental Currency. January 14th, 1779, Fifty Five Dollars, Signed by George Bond and Thomas Edison, Choice Crisp Uncirculated.
FR. CC-98. This colorful red and black printed Continental Congress issued note is very well centered with four full even perfect margins surrounding the face design. It has a very clean well printed fresh appearance, having sharp edges and corner tips. Appearance of near Gem but for some faint handling. Nice colorful signatures of George Bond and Thomas Edison (Continental Currency Signer, *Not the famous inventor born in 1847), who also apparently wrote this note's red ink serial number.
