Description
First Prize Design Baltimore Parade Float 1906 for the Consolidated Gas and Electric Light & Power Company, a watercolor, ink and collage composition on paper signed by Albert Mettee Helwig with the slogans, "Let There Be Light" and "There are no bounds to the force man may raise and use in the Electrical Way" with extensive hand written notes explaining the symbolism; matted and framed. Appears in good condition with mat burn and glue stains, not examined out of frame, 2 corners of frame chipped. Height of art 13 1/4 inches (33.5 cm.) X width of art 20 inches (50.8 cm.).
