It is hand signed, dedicated and dated in black ink at the lower margin.
This book about Marc Chagall, contains an original colour lithograph "The Green River" stretching over a double page at the beginning of the book.
Chagall dedicated the drawing to his friends living in St Paul de Vence: "Pour les amis Ingride et Alfred 1975".
The Neumans were neighbours of Marc Chagall in Saint Paul de Vence, and over a 25 year period they became close friends with the artist. It was during this long friendship that Chagall personally inscribed and illustrated this book.
