Description
The Crystal Ladder. Coin Ladder. New York: Martinka & Co., ca. 1905. Two rods support a small canopy atop a velvet-covered rolling platform. Suspended from the canopy are a number of glass frames attached together chain, forming a zig-zag or ladder. Coins produced by magic are placed in a hat on top of the stand and on command, they are seen and heard to drop from frame to frame until they reach the last one, and fall into another hat underneath the lowest frame. 68 1/2″ high, with cast eagles atop each rod. Good working condition. Rare.
