Riley was known as the "Hoosier Poet" and was perhaps best known for his children's poetry, as well as his character "Little Orphant Annie," the inspiration for Little Orphan Annie. This correspondence, spanning over 50 years, gives a fascinating window into the legacy of one beloved American author as well as insight into copyright and posthumous publishing.
