Small 4to (198 x 155 mm). 28 leaves only (of 36, lacks signature A: 2 leaves, the first a blank and the second title; signature c: 2 leaves, "To the Conservors," preface and errata; signature I, 4 leaves). Unbound, with stitching lost, in 18th-century plain wrappers, untrimmed. Modern cloth clamshell case. Condition: C1 dust stained, third of lower wrapper torn away and lost, very slight loss to inner blank margin of signature B. Sold with all faults. first edition of an early promotional booklet recruiting the english to virginia: "The apparent danger all the Colonies may be in if this be not possessed by the English, to prevent the Spaniard, who already has feated himself on the North or Florida..."
