Description
Original drawing for the fifth image in an annual limited edition series of solid sterling silver etched Christmas Plates created by Norman Rockwell for the Franklin Mint. Pencil on paper. Signed. 8" w x 9"h. Original frame with name plate, 17.25" w x 20" h. The 1974 Sterling Silver plate measures 7.75" diameter. A sterling silver medalion bearing the plate's individual serial #10 is on the back of the plate. The original certificate of authenticity is included as well as other materials that originally accompanied the plate. The plate is mounted in an attractive library slipcase with title, 10" w x 10.5"h. Also included are two black and white photos featuring the subjects for the study and plate, the father holding the small boy up as he hangs the wreath. There is a single black and white photo of Norman Rockwell drawing this sketch at his desk with the black and white photo of the boy and father being used as inspiration.
