A leather bound journal with 230 numbered pages containing cut outs from newspapers, magazines, etc all relating to nautical news and stories. There are artful collages throughout of scenes with sailors, postcards, Naval history, and poems. The book was artfully assembled -- a true archival masterpiece. There is potential it was compiled by a member of the Navy, however, there are no names or markings of ownership. Circa the 1930s, this book is in fragile condition, with a deteriorating binding and a number of delicate pages; however, the pages still turn well. There is also some discoloration due to water damage throughout.
