Description
WWII Imperial Japanese Officer's full dress uniform in the Meji style. Double breasted with chrysanthemum buttons, has double-line rank insignia at the cuffs indicative of Lieutenant. Shoulder boards and collar braid intact -- some of the braiding at the cuffs has come loose. Has red piping, indicating Infantry service. Quilted lining with silk material lining the sleeves and green thread, hook-and-eye closure at the neck, and has studs for a detachable white collar. Four-place ribbon bar attached to this uniform, denoting awards: - ORDER OF THE RISING SUN (class unknown) -CHINA INCIDENT 1937-1945 WAR MEDAL -CHINA INCIDENT 1931-1934 WAR MEDAL -RED CROSS MEDAL Comes with Double-line Lieutenant rank cap with badge featuring rising sun design, silk lining at crown, and leather brim. Chinstrap is intact and held in place by mum buttons. Stitching loose on lining and sweatband but both pieces are intact. Coat has belt loops. The red & white sash with tassels comes with it. Has heavy brass buckles on either side near the tassels. sash measures approximately 46". Excellent-Near Mint
