A GROUP OF TWO DENNIS W. SMITH (American/Texas 20th Century) GLAZED CERAMIC VESSELS, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, CIRCA 1980-1990, comprising a raku fired organic form chalice, the mottled yellow/gold waisted bowl raised on pebbled white clay stem with abstracted intertwining reticulated top and petal form foot, height: 8 1/8", diameter: 4 3/8"; and a salt glazed two handled amphora form vase with coiled neck, the handles with turquoise and brown glazed spotted and hashed decoration, the body with faux crack decoration, raised on pock marked conical foot, height: 10 1/4", width: 8 3/8", depth: 3 3/4".
Condition
In overall fair to good condition, the chalice with loss to the petal form foot, rubbing and wear commensurate with age and use.
