A PAIR OF AMERICAN ETCHED GLASS AND STERLING SILVER OIL AND VINEGAR CRUETS, SHEFFIELD SILVER CO., BROOKLYN, NEW YORK, CIRCA 1920, the baluster form glass bottles with etched floral and scroll decoration each marked "Oil" and "Vinegar," with everted lip, sterling silver topped stopper, raised on spreading sterling silver weighted base, marked, together with an American Brilliant cut glass oil cruet with diamond and fan cut decoration, the bottom with sixteen point radiating star, loop handle, and faceted ball form stopper, height: 5 3/4", width: 4 3/8", depth: 3 3/4". Height: 8 1/8" Diameter: 3"
Condition
In overall sound condition, the etched decoration originally gilt highlighted, most of which has been lost on one example, surface rubbing and wear commensurate with age and use, minor denting to silver bases, the oil cruet with chipping to edges of cut decoration.
