Description
A WALNUT, BRASS, AND ENAMEL TWO WEIGHT "VIENNA" REGULATOR, GUSTAV BECKER, FREIBURG, GERMANY, CIRCA 1870-1875, with white enamel two ring dial, the outer dial with black Roman numerals and minute markers, the inner with two winding holes and two filigree black metal hands, mounted with brass bezels, the movement stamped "GUSTAV BECKER" over crowned "GB" and anchor mark, and "FREIB IN SCHL, BRAUNAU BOEHM" within circle, and "MEDAILLE D'OR" within another circle, serial number "197414" and scratched mark "2332x," housed in walnut case with engaged Composite order columns on vasiform plinths flanking arched glazed panel, centering molded dentil cornice, with carved finials, and shaped receding base, the interior mounted with white enamel adjustment plaque. Height: 36" Width: 17 1/8" Depth: 7 1/2"
Condition
