AN AFRICAN PAINTED AND CARVED WOOD FEMALE BATEBA FIGURE, 20TH CENTURY, red painted carved wood, the standing figure with single crested hairdo in the form of a bird, demilune arched eyes with red painted brow, red painted lips and scars, protruding breasts, flanked by painted hands at her sides. Diameter: 4" Height: 17.00"
Condition
Some surface wear, scratches, rubbing and losses of paint, apparent repairs with glue residue at feet, some small holes, but overall fair to good condition, wear commensurate with age.
