Dating to the Ptolemaic Period, ca. 300 to 200 BC. Small, but very powerful pottery sculpture of a classic Egyptian pharaoh. Head and face, he wears the royal headgear to which would have been attached a small uraeus at the crest. 2-3/4"H x 2-1/4"W.
PROVENANCE: Ex-prominent Palm Springs, CA Collection acquired at Royal Athena Gallery in 1981.
