Description
Louis Michel Eilshemius (New York, California, New Jersey, 1864 - 1941) Coastal Watercolor with an elegantly dressed woman beneath the trees. Signed lower right. Eilshemius lived in Europe from 1873 to 1881, attended Cornell University and the Art Students League in New York, and from 1886 to 1887, the Academie Julian in Paris. In 1888, he settled permanently in New York City but traveled to Europe and North Africa.
