Clemente Segrera was born in Ciego de Ávila, Cuba, in 1951. He is a self-taught artist with an enormous admiration for artists such as Mondrian, Paul Klee, and Dalí. The Cuban artist defines his work as a stream of African blood which attempts to capture the colors of Africa in a search for its roots. Segrera has shown his paintings at the exhibitions hall of CEPAL and the United Nations, and has his own gallery in Palma de Mallorca, Spain.
