Handwritten English vellum deed dated the sixteenth year of the reign of Charles I (1640) conveying property in the county of Essex between Richard Thursby of Brayntree, a Gentleman to Francis Taverner, also a Gentleman. Beautifully penned in a calligraphic style, vellum seal tag with red wax pendant seal attached. Signatures including on verso. Fine, measures 21 x 12”.
