John Sayre, New York (American,1771-1852) active 1796-1818, shaped coin silver tea set service, three pieces comprising a teapot with wooden handle, creamer / cream pitcher and covered sugar, engraved border and monogrammed with wreath motif, maker's mark: "I.Sayre," circa 1795. Teapot: 7.5" H x 12.5" W (over handle to spout) x 4.25" D; sugar bowl: 9" H x 6.75" W x 4" D; creamer: 8" H x 6.25" W (over handle to spout) x 2.75" D. Approx 49.76 ozt. Repaired split in wood handle.
