714. Gil Gerard "Buck Rogers" wedding vest from Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. (NBC-TV, 1979-1981) This futuristic wedding vest was custom made for use by Gil Gerard in his role as "Buck Rogers". The long sleeveless vest with plunging V-neckline is constructed of white and silver fabric woven in a diamond pattern, giving the illusion of quilting, with silver braid on the neckline and armholes. Mr. Gerard wore this garment in multiple scenes of "Escape From Wedded Bliss" (Season 2, Episode 5). In the episode, Buck is forced to marry the evil Princess Ardala (portrayed by actress Pamela Hensley) in exchange for her not destroying the planet Earth with her ultimate weapon. The garment is in excellent screen worn condition and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house.
