Description
An Egyptian steatite scarab with cartouche of Thutmose III, Late New Kingdom, c. 1200 - 1075 BC, the cartouche amuletic in nature and supported by a Kheper flanked by two erect cobras; stylized winged deity above. L: 1 1/4 in (3.2cm). Light deposits and holed lengthwise for suspension. Ex collection of Gustave Mustaki formed in the mid-20th Century.
