Additional Information: This unique and very large drawing on the two inside title-pages of the book
"Marc Chagall Gouaches" is hand signed, dedicated and dated by the artist at the lower part.
The special edition book, containing beautiful Facsimile images of Chagall's Gouaches, has been published in a limited edition of only 200.
This book is number "64", indicated next to the title-page with the large drawing.
Chagall dedicated the drawing, which expands to both pages of the inside, to his friends living in St Paul de Vence: "Pour les amis I. et A. Neuman, St Paul de Vence, 1972-3".
The Neumans were neighbours of Marc Chagall in Saint Paul de Vence, and over a 25 year period they became close friends with the artist. It was during this long friendship that Chagall personally inscribed and illustrated this book.
