Hand fashioned studio artisan knife by master bladesmith Michael Miller. The Damascus blade contains materials from Gibeon, Henbury and Chinga meteorites. The handle features Juniper burl wood, Azuriete and etched Brenham meteorite. Accompanied by an ornate custom leather sheath, the knife blade was forged using "san-mai" construction: high carbon steel is sandwiched between two bars of meteoritic Damascus so that the high carbon core forms the cutting edge. This ensures that the cutting edge will heat treat and harden to "knife edge" quality even if the sides made of meteoritic materials do not. This is a fully functional knife and is not just a display piece. Signed M Miller Handmade. Knife measures 8 3/8" x 1 1/8".
