Wonderful Pair of Antique Gilt Bronze Cavaliers each cast as men preparing to engage each other in a sword fight on oval bases, incised Ele. Guillemin and also stamped L.M. These were signed and sculptured by Emile-Coriolan-Hippolyte Guillemin an important French sculptor 1841-1907. one measures 8-1/2 inches high, the other measures 9 inches high to the top of his feathered cap. The oval bases measure 5-1/8 inches long and 3-3/4 inches wide. Combined weight 6.4 lbs, they weigh 3.2 lbs. each.
