15 pieces of assorted British Silver, incl. Bateman. 1st-3rd items: Group of three (3) Peter & Anne Bateman sterling demitasse spoons with date marks for 1794, all monogrammed. 5" L. 4th item: Hester Bateman sterling demitasse spoon with date mark for 1782, monogrammed. 5" L. 5th item: George Smith III sterling punch ladle, date marks for 1784, with engraved coat of arms to the handle. 13" L. 6th item: William Gibson & John Langman sterling fork, date marks for 1895, engraved en verso "London/1896". 7" L. 7th item: George William Adams sterling cake or pie server with pierced blade and shaped, beaded handle. Date markes illegible. 12 3/4" L. 8th item: English, London pie or cake sterling server with shaped pierced blade with bone handle. Monogrammed with partial maker's marks possibly for Robert I, David II, and Samuel Hennell. 10 1/2" L. Circa 1800-1802. 9th item: James & William Marshall Edinburgh sterling demitasse spoon with shell carved handle. Date marks for 1828. 5" L. 10th item: Joseph Willmore sterling cheese scoop/knife with hardstone handle. Date marks for 1869. 5 1/2" L. 11th item: Pair of Clement Cheese sterling sugar tongs, date marks for 1824. 5 3/8" L. 12th item: Pair of George Wintle sterling sugar tongs, with chased and engraved foliate decoration and monograms to the center, date marks for 1797. 5 1/4" L. 13th & 14th items: Cased sterling child's spoon and fork by William S. Savage with foliate engraved handles, date marks for 1908. 5 1/2" L & 6" L. 15th item: British fiddle tipt silver spoon with overall gilt wash. Hallmarks illegible. 8 3/4" L. 18.31 weighable troy ounces. Provenance: The Estate of Celia (Cece) Webb, Nashville, TN.
Condition
All pieces with overall general wear, some spoons with pitting and some pieces with monograms of coats of arms (see description).
