Image size 8 3/4 x 10 3/8" (22.3 x 25.9 cm).
George Roy (Roi) Partridge (1888-1984) printmaker, painter, photographer was born in Centralia, Washington and moved at a young age to Seattle. He studies at the National Academy of Design before traveling to Europe where he learned etching in Munich. Living in Paris he met Bertha Jaques and studied printmaking with her. He returned to Seattle as WWI got under way. Forty four of his etchings were exhibited in 1915 at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. He was married to Imogen Cunningham.
