Webb (Sidney James, first Baron Passfield, social reformer and historian, founder of the London School of Economics, 1859-1947) 2 Autograph Letters signed to Robert Somerville, President of the Glasgow University Labour Club, 7pp., 8vo, 41 Grosvenor Road, Westminster Embankment, 7th & 15th May 1925, relating to his application for election as Lord Rector of Glasgow University, sending a draft paper for his consideration and offering as a contribution to the inevitable expenses of the contest a supply of cheap editions of books by himself and his wife, and returning "the letter in which I have shortened the objectionable sentences by half!", folds, a few short tears starting along folds.
