Description
Twenty-one (21) copperplate engravings from 'Florilegium Amplissimum et Selectissimum' by Emanuel Sweerts (1552-1612), published by Anthonius Kempner, Frankfurt (Latin). Originally published in 1612, later editions exist. The edition for these engravings unknown as there is no date on the title page. Title page included. Appears to be from a 17th century edition. Includes several unidentified engravers. Also included are the front and back covers from which these engraving were removed, but no spine and not bound. Each sheet measures 15.5-in. x 10.5-in. Book covers measures 17-in. x 10.625-in. In F-G/G-G+ condition with foxing. Book covers in fair condition. All pages unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email. Condition report is provided as an opinion only and is no guarantee as grading can be subjective.
