A late 19th century Martin Brothers vase
of baluster form with flared rim on a circular foot, unfinished (i.e. lacking final glaze), with a decoration of dragons and stylised flying lizards amongst Renaissance style leaves, inscribed marks to base, dated 1-1896, 37.5 cm high, (a/f).

The collection was inherited by his descendants and has remained in the family ever since, only being recently discovered following the passing of his daughter.
