Item Details

Description

This may have been one of his last paintings he did because he passed in 1969.Titled "Snow in Vermont Apple, taking sap and rendering" on backside. Winter scene depicts an orchard of tall trees with a building in the trees off to the right and a house in the far distance at the end of the road. Meanwhile, there are people collecting the sap from the trees and pouring it into collection containers on sleds with snow on the ground.Born 1879 and passed in 1969, Davis was a California Plein Air artist who lived in Northern California.

Condition

Painting is in very good condition, may need a cleaning. Frame has moderate chipping to the surface of the frame all around it
