Chinese Qing Dynasty tea dust glazed reward vase. Delicately potted in a slightly flattened globular body with round shoulder gently raised the cylindrical tall neck toward the flaring rim, raised on slight round foot base. Covered overall in pale green under glazed with densely dusted , with attractive olive-green toward upper rim on a green pale porcelain body with golden-yellow speckles pattern covered all the vase. The Iridescent Green, gilt splashes and streaks characteristic of this glaze are described as yao Bian, or transmutation glaze and resulting from transmutation of colloidal copper, iron, or other metallic materials into suffusions breaking up the glaze surface. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous craftsman.

Mark on under base, a six embossed seal script characters reign mark, Qianlong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
