Isaac Inbal, Moroccan/Israeli (1945 - )
Serograph. California Sunset.
Inbal was born in Morocco in 1945 and then immigrated to Israel together with his parents when he was 2 years old. From the ages of 15 to 18 he studied oil painting with the reknown Israeli artist, Irma Ilonim and then was enlisted in the Israel Defense Foreces for the next 2 years. Shortly after the end of the 1967 Six Day War, Mr. Inbal, together with another five young war veterans, exhibited their works at the Techuion Institute in Haifa.
In 1969, Mr. Inbal exhibited his work at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. During 1970 to 1972 Mr. Inbal ehbitied his work regularly at Yedi Aman Gallery in the old city of Jaffa and at the Arbel Gallery, in the old city of Jerusalem. In 1973, Mr. Inbal arrived to theUnited States where he studied silkscreen printing techniques in California. While studying in California Mr. Inbal participated in various exhibitions. A few editions of his serigraphs have been published. Mr. Inbal is presently residing in New York where he established his own studio.
