Rare William IV Tortoiseshell Octagonal Tea Caddy

second quarter 19th century, on bun feet, with ogee-molded sides and a hinged cover, the interior with twin covered compartments, retaining remnants of original foil lining.
h. 6-3/4", dia. 7-1/4"

Condition

In overall good condition. Hair crack on back below the hinge. Some slight scattered discoloration. Minor loss to two corners of cover, foil lining delaminating. Loss to bottom trim at one corner and 2" strip to bottom trim on opposite side.
